What do I do if my Vinted InPost parcel is stuck in transit?
A stuck InPost scan is not yet a lost-parcel case. Vinted’s refund policy gives two clocks, and they are not the same.
What to do
- Save the tracking screen, the ship date, and any drop-off receipt.
- If the status is “delivered” and you do not have the parcel, press “I have an issue” within 2 calendar days.
- If it is not delivered, wait until “Parcel seems to be lost” or more than 25 business days from shipping, then press “I have an issue”.
- Use the Vinted order. A Vinted label is what the compensation page asks for, up to £500, if the carrier confirms the loss.

Why is my Vinted InPost parcel stuck in transit?
Tracking that does not move is a common worry. It does not, by itself, mean the parcel is lost or that a refund has started.
On 25 September 2025 the BBC reported a wave of InPost UK delays for Vinted orders: lockers not emptied, scans stuck in transit, “delivered” with nothing to collect, and locker faults. InPost apologised and pointed to an IT problem. That report describes that episode. A parcel stuck today still follows the help page that is live now.
On 25 September 2025 the BBC reported that Vinted users were describing severe delays with InPost UK: parcels not collected from lockers, tracking stuck in transit, items marked delivered but not received, and locker faults. The BBC said InPost UK apologised and blamed network delays on an IT issue, and that InPost’s website called it a software integration issue. The BBC updated the article on 26 September 2025. Source
When will Vinted look at a lost InPost parcel?
Vinted’s refund policy says it cannot start a lost-parcel investigation until tracking says “Parcel seems to be lost”, or more than 25 business days have passed since shipping. People often call this “25 working days”. The page says “25 business days”.
Until one of those is true, the page says the parcel may still arrive. Screenshot the tracking each time it changes. Keep any drop-off receipt or photo of the label.
If you did not use a Vinted-generated label, Vinted’s compensation page says you ask the carrier yourself. The carriers it lists for its own label include InPost.
Vinted’s refund policy says an order that seems lost in transit may still arrive within 25 business days from shipping. It says Vinted cannot start the investigation or the refund process until tracking changes to “Parcel seems to be lost”, or more than 25 business days have passed since the order was shipped. You then press “I have an issue” and say you have not received it. Vinted says a check with the shipping company can take several weeks, the order stays suspended, and the payment is safe while that happens. You receive a refund if the loss is confirmed. Source
Vinted’s compensation page says a standard or Pro seller who used a prepaid Vinted-generated label can be paid up to £500 if the shipping provider confirms the parcel is lost or damaged. The providers it lists are Evri, InPost, DPD, Royal Mail, Relay, and AnyVan. If you sent the order without that label, the page says you contact the shipping provider about compensation. It says parcels lost or damaged at the verification hub are compensated at the full item value. It does not put that hub sentence inside the £500 line. Source
What if tracking says delivered and the locker is empty?
That is the other clock. Vinted’s refund policy says you have 2 calendar days from the notice that the order should have been delivered. Press “I have an issue” in that time. If you confirm that you accept the order, or you miss the window, Vinted says it sends the payment to the seller. The returns page calls that confirmation “Everything is OK”.
Do not wait 25 business days for a parcel the app has already marked as delivered. Read how long to claim a lost Vinted parcel and item not received.
Vinted’s refund policy says the refund request period starts when Vinted notifies you that the order should have been delivered, or that it seems lost. You have 2 calendar days to report an issue and request a refund. Press “I have an issue” in the conversation. If you do not report in time, or you confirm that you accept the order, Vinted says the payment is sent to the seller and it will not be able to help with a refund. The policy says it applies when buying from standard members, not Pro sellers. After you request a refund, Vinted says the order is suspended and the payment is held safely until the issue is resolved. Source
Vinted’s returns page says you press “I have an issue” within 2 days of the delivery notice. Pressing “Everything is OK”, or missing that time, completes the order and sends the payment to the seller. The seller can offer a partial refund while you keep the item (not for a bundle), a full refund while you keep the order, or a return of the reported item. If only some bundle items are significantly not as described, you return those items, unless they are confirmed counterfeit. If all of them are, you return the whole order. The photos it asks for include damaged parts, damaged packaging, and parts that do not match the listing. If you cannot agree, the page says Vinted aims to reply within 48 hours. A fit or change-of-mind return needs the seller’s agreement. For a Pro seller, the page says you can return for any reason within 14 days of receiving the item. Source
What should I keep while I wait?
Keep the drop-off proof, the label, and the tracking screens. Write down the date it was shipped. That date is what the 25-business-day count uses.
Vinted says the payment stays on hold while a reported order is suspended, and that a carrier check can take several weeks. A refund follows if the loss is confirmed. Seller compensation, up to £500, is a separate rule and needs the carrier to confirm loss or damage on a Vinted label.

What if I can hand the item over in person instead?
A courier delay is a reason some people prefer a local sale. On SilentSale®, PIN Pickup means the buyer pays in the app, inspects the item, then shares a 6-digit PIN. There is no cash, and there is no dispute after the PIN.
If you still post it, tracked Shipping has a 72-hour window to report an issue after delivery. SilentSale® is a UK marketplace. Buyer and seller each contribute £0.30 + 3% of the item price to SilentCover® (£0.60 each on a £10 item), a discretionary protection service. Stripe processes the payment and holds the funds until completion. Read collection without cash and SilentSale® vs Vinted.
Stripe processes payments and holds funds until the order completes.
PIN Pickup is an in-person handover. The buyer inspects the item before sharing their six-digit PIN; the seller enters it in the app to complete the order. The PIN is acceptance. There is no shipping, tracking or post-handover dispute window.
For Shipping, report problems within 72 hours after confirmed delivery, or the collection scan for a locker or parcel-shop order. Confirming receipt closes the window early, so inspect first.
Questions people ask
Is 25 business days the same as 25 working days?
Vinted’s refund policy says 25 business days from shipping. Shoppers often say “working days”. Use the words on the help page, and count from the ship date.
The locker was empty. Do I still wait 25 days?
No, if Vinted has already notified you that the order should have been delivered. The refund policy then gives 2 calendar days to press “I have an issue”.
Does the BBC report mean InPost is down today?
The BBC reported delays on 25 September 2025 and said InPost blamed an IT issue. A parcel stuck now is decided by the current tracking status and Vinted’s clocks, not by that article alone.
I used my own label. Can Vinted compensate me?
Vinted’s compensation page says that if you did not use the Vinted-generated label, you contact the carrier about compensation.
