How to avoid chargeback scams when selling
Keep an accurate listing and records of payment and fulfilment. SilentSale® does not promise to prevent every payment reversal.
What to know
Keep messages and payments in the app.
Retain the courier receipt and tracking information for Shipping.
For PIN Pickup, complete the handover through the in-app PIN flow.
How SilentSale® protects both sides
SilentCover® is a discretionary protection service under the SilentSale® Terms. Both sides protected equally: buyer and seller each contribute £0.30 + 3% of the item price. Decisions depend on the Terms and evidence.
PIN Pickup is an in-person handover. The buyer inspects the item before sharing their six-digit PIN; the seller enters it in the app to complete the order. The PIN is acceptance. There is no shipping, tracking or post-handover dispute window.
Questions people ask
What records should I retain?
Keep the listing details, in-app messages and relevant fulfilment evidence for any review.
Does SilentSale® promise to prevent every payment reversal?
No. SilentCover® decisions depend on the Terms and evidence; payment completion is not a promise that no later payment issue can arise.
