How to get paid safely when selling online in the UK
SilentSale® payments are processed by Stripe. Check the order status in the app before fulfilment and review the seller earnings preview.
What to know
Keep payment and messages in the app.
Stripe holds funds until completion under the order’s fulfilment rules.
Shipping uses tracked couriers and SilentSale®-issued labels. Raise issues within 72 hours after delivery confirmation, or collection for a locker or parcel-shop order. Confirming receipt closes this window early, so inspect the item first.
For an in-person order, PIN acceptance completes the handover.
How SilentSale® protects both sides
SilentCover® is a discretionary protection service under the SilentSale® Terms. Both sides protected equally: buyer and seller each contribute £0.30 + 3% of the item price. Decisions depend on the Terms and evidence.
PIN Pickup is an in-person handover. The buyer inspects the item before sharing their six-digit PIN; the seller enters it in the app to complete the order. The PIN is acceptance. There is no shipping, tracking or post-handover dispute window.
Questions people ask
When does a Shipping order complete?
After the review window if no issue is raised, or earlier when the buyer confirms receipt. An open issue can affect release of funds.
How fast are withdrawals?
Available Balance can be withdrawn to a verified bank account, subject to checks and Stripe and bank processing times. No fixed arrival time is promised.
