Can I withdraw from Vinted if I am banned?
Vinted’s ban page says a permanently banned member can still withdraw an available balance, unless a listed risk exception applies.
What to do
- Read the notice and save the reason, the date, and any case reference.
- If the ban is permanent, open Vinted Balance from the account and withdraw what is available.
- If the balance is pending, wait until the order completes. Vinted says it then becomes available within 2 days.
- Appeal once, within 6 months, using the link in the message. Attach evidence.

Can I withdraw my Vinted balance if I am banned?
If the ban is permanent, Vinted’s help page says you can still log in, ask about the ban, and withdraw earnings from your Vinted Balance. The path it gives is: log in, go to the inbox you are shown, open Vinted Balance, and withdraw.
It also lists exceptions. A withdrawal may be blocked if it would put other members at risk, if the account is compromised, or if the payment provider has flagged a risk of fraud. This page cannot see which exception, if any, applies to you.
Vinted’s ban page says a permanently banned member can still log in to ask about the ban and to withdraw earnings from their Vinted Balance. The steps it gives are: log in (you are taken to the inbox), open Vinted Balance, and withdraw. It says withdrawals may not be possible if they pose a risk to other members, the account is compromised, or the ban is for a risk of fraud as decided by the payment provider. Source
What if the money is still pending?
Available balance and pending balance are different. Vinted’s pending-balance page says the buyer’s payment stays pending until the order is completed, and then moves to available balance within 2 days.
A ban notice does not, on the pages checked here, turn pending money into available money. Wait for the order to complete, or follow the issue tools on that order. An identity check may also be required before you can use an available balance.
For a standard sale the buyer has 2 days after the delivery notice. For a Pro sale the pending-balance page says 14 days.
Vinted’s pending-balance page says the buyer’s payment shows as pending until the order is completed, and that the payment provider stores it there. For a standard seller it says buyers have 2 days from the notice that the item should have been delivered, or that the order seems lost, to confirm “Everything is OK” or press “I have an issue”. For Pro sellers it says buyers have 14 days from that notice, and the order completes after 14 days if no issue is reported. Once the order is completed, the payment moves to available balance within 2 days. Available balance can be withdrawn or spent on Vinted. An identity check, biometrics, or a phone check may be required. Source
How long is a temporary ban, and how do I appeal?
Vinted says a temporary ban ends on its own after 7 to 30 days. The end date is shown when you log in. Vinted says it cannot lift that ban early unless you show the ban was a mistake.
You can appeal once, within 6 months of the moderation notice. Use the link in the inbox message or the email. Explain the mistake and attach evidence. Do not send login codes to anyone who offers to recover the account for you.
Read Vinted account suspended for how to keep the notice and the order records. A new account on another app does not move an open Vinted order.
Vinted’s ban page says a temporary ban ends automatically after 7 to 30 days, and that the end date is shown when you log in. It says Vinted cannot end it sooner unless you provide evidence that the ban was a mistake. Reasons it lists include offensive behaviour, prohibited items, counterfeits, moving payment off Vinted, and commercial selling by someone who is not a Pro seller. Source
Vinted’s ban page says you can appeal once, and only within 6 months of the moderation notice. The appeal link is in the inbox message or the email that states the decision. It asks you to explain why the decision was wrong and to add evidence. It also says you can use a certified out-of-court dispute body or the courts. Source
What has the BBC reported?
On 19 August 2026 the BBC reported that some sellers said they had been banned after ordinary second-hand listings. Vinted told the BBC it has 17 million UK users, that the overwhelming majority have a positive experience, and that each appeal is reviewed individually by its Member Support Team.
That report is not a count of how often the withdrawal exception is used. Follow the withdraw steps if the balance is available. If the payment provider blocks it, use the reason Vinted shows in the account.
If you sell elsewhere, SilentSale® is a UK marketplace for private individuals. Buyer and seller each contribute £0.30 + 3% of the item price to SilentCover® (£0.60 each on a £10 item), a discretionary protection service. Stripe holds funds until the order completes, and you withdraw available earnings after the checks Stripe asks for. Read move from Vinted and how you get paid.

Questions people ask
Will Vinted always pay out a banned account?
No. The ban page lists exceptions: risk to other members, a compromised account, or a fraud flag from the payment provider. Read the reason on your account.
Can I appeal more than once?
Vinted’s ban page says you can appeal once, and only within 6 months of the moderation notice.
The ban is temporary. Can I withdraw anyway?
The withdrawal steps on that page are written for a permanent ban. A temporary ban shows an end date at login. Use the balance screen to see what is available.
