Why is my Depop payout not in my bank?
Depop pays into a Depop Balance first. The bank transfer follows a clock that depends on how you shipped, plus ID and bank checks.
What to do
- Open Depop Balance and see whether the payout is waiting, sent, or failed.
- Add a bank account and finish the identity check if either is still missing.
- For an Evri Depop label, count 2 business days from delivery or 10 business days from the sale, whichever is earlier.
- If Depop has not sent anything after 10 working days, contact Depop support from the payout page.

Why has Depop not paid me yet?
“Depop hasn’t paid me” usually means the money is still in the Depop Balance, or it has been sent and the bank has not shown it.
Depop’s UK payout page says the sale is paid into your Depop Balance, then sent to the connected bank account. Payouts go through Depop Payments, powered by Stripe.
Open Depop Balance before you assume the bank has lost it.
Depop’s UK payout page says a sale is paid into your Depop Balance and then sent to the connected bank account through Depop Payments, powered by Stripe. For Depop Shipping via Evri it says payment is sent 2 business days after the item shows as delivered, or 10 business days after the sale, whichever comes first. For manual shipping it says 10 business days after delivery. It says funds can take up to 5 days to appear in the bank after they are sent, and that some early Depop Payments users and Top Sellers are on a different schedule. Until a bank account is added and identity is verified, it says the money stays in the Depop Balance and cannot be paid out. If nothing has been sent after 10 working days (14 calendar days), it says to contact support. A failed payout can be a closed or restricted account, a currency mismatch, a bank that did not process it, or wrong account details. Source
How long does Depop say the payout takes?
It depends on the label.
If you used Depop Shipping via Evri, Depop says it sends the payment 2 business days after the item shows as delivered, or 10 business days after the sale, whichever comes first.
If you shipped it yourself, Depop says it sends the payment 10 business days after delivery.
After Depop sends it, the page says the money can take up to 5 days to appear in the bank. Some people on an early Depop Payments schedule, or in the Top Seller programme, are on a different timetable. The page says so. Your screen is the one that applies.
Why would the money sit in my Depop Balance?
Depop says the balance cannot be paid out until you have added a bank account and verified your identity. Until both are done, the money stays there. People describe this as Depop holding my money. The help page’s reason is those missing checks, or the delivery clock above.
A payout can also fail. Depop lists a restricted or closed account, a currency that does not match, a bank that did not process the payment, and wrong account details. Open the failed payout in Depop Balance to read the reason.
If nothing has been sent after 10 working days, which Depop also writes as 14 calendar days, the page says to contact Depop support with the sale. If a tax form is worrying you, a separate answer covers a marketplace asking for a National Insurance number. This page is not tax advice. Check your own situation with HMRC.
What should I check before I chase the bank?
Confirm the sale shows as delivered if you are inside the delivery part of the clock. Confirm the bank account name and number in Payment settings. Then read whether Depop says the payout was sent.
A transfer that Depop has not sent will not appear on a bank statement. A transfer Depop has sent can still take the extra days the page allows.
Read Depop fees, because fees come off before the payout, and Evri lost my order if the parcel never arrived. An unpaid lost parcel is a different problem from a slow bank.
On SilentSale®, Stripe holds funds until that order completes, then you withdraw available earnings after the identity and bank checks Stripe asks for. A Depop balance is not moved across. Read how you get paid and SilentSale® vs Depop.
Stripe processes payments and holds funds until the order completes.
Questions people ask
I shipped it myself. Why is the wait longer?
Depop’s UK page says manual shipping is paid 10 business days after delivery. Depop Shipping via Evri uses the earlier of 2 business days after delivery or 10 business days after the sale.
Depop says it sent the money. Where is it?
The same page says funds can take up to 5 days to show in the bank after they are sent. If a payout failed, the reason is on that payout in Depop Balance.
Does “holding my money” mean a penalty?
Not on this help page. It says the balance is not paid out until the bank account and identity check are done, and that the shipping clock still applies. Read the status on your sale.
Will SilentSale® pay a Depop balance?
No. SilentSale® pays SilentSale® orders. Stripe holds those funds until the order completes. A Depop balance stays on Depop.
